A Brief History
The West Chiltington Fete and Flower Show was founded in 1919 as part of the Peace Celebrations after the First World War. In 1939, the Second World War put an end to the event for a while, however it was restarted six years later as part of the village’s victory celebrations.
A FUN DAY FOR ALL
What better way to enjoy a Summer's day than a traditional English village show! The West Chiltington Village Show offers a range of fun attractions including stalls, musical entertainment, a dog show, children races and a tug of war competition. There is also the opportunity to enter the show classes and submit your best flowers, vegetables, cakes, art, photography or craft creations. Who knows you may walk away with 'Best in Show'!
Come along on the 14th July 2018 and join in the fun.
"WHAT A GREAT DAY OUT!"
— Ian Hearnshaw
The West Chiltington Village show is organised by the community for the community and is therefore always in need of volunteers.
We always need extra people to help organise the event as well as extra helping hands on the day.
